Hired in May of 1994, Melissa started her OlyFed career as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) at the West Olympia branch. In February 1995, she was promoted to Lead CSR at the Downtown branch before quickly being promoted to Savings Counselor at the Tumwater branch in September of that same year. Demonstrating a talent for the complexities of the lending process, Melissa was promoted to Loan Servicing Assistant in July 1996 and again in November 1999 to Loan Closer.
Melissa’s hard work, dedication and leadership did not go unnoticed and in October 2000, she was promoted to Branch Manager at the Lacey branch. In May 2008, she was promoted to Branch Manager at the Downtown branch where she continued to excel in her leadership and management skills. In recognition of her talents, in April 2011 Melissa was named AVP. In August 2018, she was promoted to Digital Branch Manager, where she continues to help guide the bank’s digital strategy through online and mobile banking.

Melissa’s wealth of knowledge, experience and dedication to our company values have earned her internal awards and recognition, including Employee of the Quarter. Her commitment to going the extra mile for customers and employees is remarkable and we are fortunate to have her on the team.
A fun fact about Melissa is that she met her husband through OlyFed. An employee of Sunset Air, he was working a job at Melissa’s branch when her staff encouraged him to ask her out. The rest is history!
