Net loans grew $14.2 million in the first half of the fiscal year. In addition, the bank also experienced meaningful organic deposit growth of $13.5 million over the same period. The combined loan and deposit growth has helped improve the return on average assets for the bank.

Furthermore, the bank’s asset quality ratio continues to be better than peers and operational efficiencies have helped reduce general and administrative expenses. The bank continues to grow in new households, checking accounts, debit card usage, business client relationships and treasury management service enrollments.

Josh Deck Bio Photo“I was really excited to see that we were able to reward our customers with more than $6.2 million in interest for their deposit relationships during the first two quarters of the year,” Josh Deck, President & CEO said. “I love when new customers come to OlyFed and experience the impact that banking local has on both reaching their personal financial goals and in strengthening the overall community at large.”

For the first two quarters, the bank’s charitable giving and community support totaled more than $200,000, while employee volunteer time surpassed 800 hours of service.

“I am really proud of our entire team and how we have rallied together to support our customers and community in the first half of this fiscal year,” Deck continued. “From homebuyer classes and financial education in our local high schools to fraud prevention workshops with local senior service and social service organizations, OlyFedders continue to show up in ways that demonstrate our values.”

“These volunteer efforts combined with our philanthropic investments and affordable home loan program for individuals and families earning 80% or less of median income further highlights our commitment to improving the quality of life for everyone that calls our region home,” Deck concluded.
