Melissa began her OlyFed career as the bank’s first intern in 2004 , serving as Administrative Assistant and Customer Service Representative (CSR) while attending Washington State University. Following graduation, she was rehired fulltime as a Lead CSR in May 2006 at the Downtown branch. A dedicated learner and natural leader, Melissa worked her way up serving in nearly every position in the branch and in May 2018, found her passion helping customers achieve homeownership when she became a Loan Officer. Since then, she has worked tirelessly to advance her education and support her lending team and in April 2023, she was promoted to AVP/Mortgage Loan Officer Manager.

Melissa’s dedication to company culture and excellence in customer service has earned her many internal value awards over her twenty years. Not only has she earned recognition as Employee of the Quarter in 2019 and the prestigious Lori G Drummond Leadership Award in May 2026, but has earned several awards for loan production. In fact, Melissa produced over $50 million in loans in back to back years, making her the first, and to this point, only member of OlyFed’s 50/50 club.

Melissa’s impact extends across the Association and community. She is a leader of OlyFed’s Better Fedder culture-building committee, serves on the board of directors with Olympia Master Builders and is an active volunteer in the community.

Fueled by her love for sports and family, Melissa spends much of her time cheering on her two very active kids in their athletics. From the baseball field to the basketball and volleyball courts, Melissa is enthusiastically supporting her kids every step of the way.
