Josh joined OlyFed in January 2011 as Vice President, Risk and Compliance Manager, bringing with him several years of experience as a bank examiner for the U.S. Department of the Treasury. From the start, his deep understanding of financial institutions, paired with a strong sense of integrity and leadership, helped strengthen OlyFed’s operations and risk management framework.
In April 2015, Josh was promoted to Senior Vice President, Chief Risk & Compliance Officer. He went on to serve as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer beginning in April 2020, a year in which he was also recognized as a South Sound Business Magazine 40 Under 40 honoree for his leadership and contributions to the South Sound community. In July 2022, Josh was named President & CEO as longtime President Lori Drummond transitioned into retirement and the role of Board Chair.
Since stepping into the position, Josh has continued to guide OlyFed with steady leadership, strategic vision and a strong commitment to community banking.

A South Sound local, Josh graduated from Franklin Pierce High School and earned his degree from William Penn University, where he was a pitcher on the baseball team. He also attended Pacific Lutheran University, where he pitched for the baseball team. Josh remains actively engaged in the community, having served on several local boards. Having just finished his term as Chairman of Community Bankers of Washington, Josh is still an active board member with the organization and he also currently serves on the Thurston County Roundtable.
Josh coaches his sons’ baseball and basketball teams, so most evenings and weekends you can find him in a local gym or dugout supporting his boys’ passions. When he does have a free moment, Josh is an avid golfer and a good one at that. He is a scratch golfer, a mark of high-level proficiency in the game, and one of his highlights includes a hole-in-one at a local charity tournament!
