Your OlyFed

Say Hello to Our New OlyFedders

This past quarter we were pleased to welcome six new OlyFedders to our family of caring bankers. These individuals bring a multitude of talents, skills and tremendous personal values to our team and we’re excited to introduce them to you.

Ashley Steffensen, Yelm Customer Service Representative

Ashley Steffensen joins the Yelm branch team as a Customer Service Representative. With a background in administrative and customer service roles, and a passion for connecting with people, Ashley will be an excellent addition to the team. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family playing games, singing and playing the piano.

Chris Bridges, Business Relationship Banker

We are excited to welcome Chris Bridges to our Downtown Olympia branch as the newest Business Relationship Banker on the Business Team. Bringing over two decades of expertise in the financial industry to OlyFed, Chris will be a great resource for our customers and an asset to the bank as we aim to further enhance our services and help more small businesses in our community. Chris is passionate about helping entrepreneurs, business owners and community leaders grow their organizations through operational efficiencies, strategic financial initiatives and expansion efforts. Having recently moved from Arizona, Chris is eager to foster connections across the county and contribute to the expansion of our business services.

Sierra Taylor, Loan Servicing Assistant

Sierra Taylor joins OlyFed’s Loan Servicing team as a Loan Servicing Assistant. Sierra is currently attending Washington State University’s Global Campus to complete her bachelor’s degree in accounting. In addition to her educational background, she also brings years of client relations experience. In her free time, Sierra enjoys reading as well as watching any Christopher Nolan movie.

Chris Carney, Loan Servicing Assistant

Chris Carney also joins the Loan Servicing team as a Loan Servicing Assistant. A graduate of Western Governors University, Chris brings experience in sales and administration roles. He looks forward to contributing to a cooperative and positive work environment and is excited to work for a local bank whose values align with his own. Outside of work, Chris enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and pets. Chris is an avid fan of our local sports teams. When he isn’t catching the game, he enjoys working on cars and his house, listening to music and staying active. A fun fact about Chris is that he was an avid musician and played the trombone in the Washington State University Marching and Jazz Bands.

Lisa Hawbaker, Yelm Highway Customer Service Representative

Lisa Hawbaker joins the Yelm Highway branch as a Customer Service Representative. She brings to OlyFed years of experience working in the financial industry as well as roles in retail and administration. Although she grew up in Eastern Washington, Lisa was born in Hawaii and still carries the spirit of Aloha in her heart. She has always been an animal lover and spent most of her youth working with horses. She currently has two blue heeler dogs and two cats at home, along with her two boys under the age of 11. She is a fan of equestrian sports and baseball, particularly the Savannah Bananas and the Party Animals. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest, especially the coast.

Barry Bland, IT Support Analyst

Barry Bland joins the Information Technology team as an IT Support Analyst. He began his career as a computer technician, gaining skills in troubleshooting and diagnostics. Looking to further expand his knowledge, he enrolled in the Cybersecurity and Network Administration program at South Puget Sound Community College where he eventually became a classroom support technician. In his free time, Barry enjoys playing video games or spending time outdoors snowboarding and mountain biking.
