Come join GRuB’s Growing Home Collective to celebrate Juneteenth, the day that commemorates the emancipation of enslaved Black people in 1865 in the United States. This event centers the experience of Black and ADOS (American Descendants of Slavery) identified individuals, families and people of all ages. We will acknowledge the true history of Black people’s experience during a time of great challenge and erasure that is still impacting our communities today. We will celebrate and uplift Black wisdom, community, healing, food knowledge and culture on the land. Juneteenth is American history! We especially welcome Black and ADOS youth, veterans and alumni of GRuB’s programs. Family friendly and open to people of all backgrounds.

This event takes place outside, so dress for the weather. Email kerensa@goodgrub.org for any questions or special accommodations.

We look forward to celebrating Juneteenth with you!

The Growing Home Collective serves Black people of all ages and emphasizes wellness, cultural food knowledge, and ancestral wisdom in the kitchen and on the land. The program includes ADOS (American Descendants of Slavery) members, Black immigrants, the Black diaspora, and Black people who are of mixed racial/ethnic backgrounds.
