Additional Resources & Mortgage Repayment Options

Olympia Federal Savings is dedicated to educating our customers about mortgage assistance options. We want to help you stay in your home, so
if you are unable to afford your mortgage payments and wish to avoid foreclosure, please contact one of our loan officers immediately.

Options to Consider

We can offer you several options to help retain your home. To determine which option might best suit your needs, please review the following:

Repayment Plan

A repayment plan allows you to pay your regular monthly payment plus additional funds applied to past-due amounts. Payments are distributed
over an agreed-upon period of time. This option may work for you if:

  • You can afford your regular monthly payments and other expenses.
  • You have surplus funds at the end of the month.

Loan Modification

A loan modification may decrease your payment for a set period of time.
This option may work for you if:

  • You can afford a slightly less monthly payment
  • You don't have substantial funds left at the end of the month.

Gather Your Info

Before you contact us, it would be helpful to gather the following information so it is readily available to share with the loan representative assisting you so that we may better serve you:

  • A brief letter explaining your current situation
  • A detailed list of your household expenses (assets and liabilities)
  • Proof of household income (copies of recent paystubs, tax returns
    or profit-loss statements)
  • Amounts of all loans or mortgages on your property

Contact Us

Don't put it off, we're here to help. The first step to avoiding foreclosure is to contact us as soon as you experience difficulty in making your mortgage payments. The longer you wait the more difficult it will be to reinstate your loan. You may call the toll free number or call or visit your local branch office.

You can reach us Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. at our toll-free number 1-800-865-3470 or email us at: customerservice@olyfed.com.

Foreclosure Rescue Scams

Be wary of companies claiming they can offer "foreclosure assistance" or advertise themselves as "foreclosure rescue firms". These fraudulent companies will claim they can stop your foreclosure immediately if you sign
a document appointing them to act on your behalf, however you may be signing over the title to your property and becoming a renter in your own home! Never sign a legal document without reading and understanding all the terms and getting professional advice from an attorney, a trusted real-estate professional, or a HUD approved housing counselor.
