These customers have reported receiving a text message from OlyFed’s main phone number of (360) 754-3400 asking if they authorized activity using their online ID. The message provides a fake online banking location and then asks if this is an authorized activity. The customer is then asked to reply with a yes or no.
When the customer replies to the message, they receive a response that a customer will contact them shortly. Soon after, customers report receiving a phone call from someone pretending to be a representative of OlyFed and that person/fraudster begins asking several account-related questions.
Please note these very important safety tips and recommendations:
Our Fraud Protection Services will not contact you via text message from our main phone number (360) 754-3400. All our fraud communications come from a different phone number.
If you receive a phone call and you’re any bit skeptical it is not us, just kindly tell the person on the other end of the phone that you are going to hang up and call us back. We will not be upset with you hanging up on us; we’ll be glad you did to ensure your security and financial well-being. When you call us back, we’ll be happy to assist you.
We will never ask you to sign in or offer up personal/confidential information via text message. We will also never call you to verify your account. If you are unsure about a text message, don’t reply and call us. If you are unsure if it is truly OlyFed on the other end of the line, hang up and call us back.
Your privacy, safety and financial health are absolutely important to us and we are here to help you no matter your questions or concerns, so please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at OlyFed
