Jacobs was selected by his peers for this honor because of his outstanding leadership during the bank’s recent core conversion and his overall ability to take initiative and lend a helping hand to his colleagues. In just three years, Justin has gone from Teller, Universal Banker, Savings & Retirement Specialist to Assistant Branch Manager at the Yelm Highway branch. He is an abundant source of knowledge and expertise for others in the branches and exemplifies our cultural values.
At the beginning of this quarter, Justin saw a need to build on the retail branches’ knowledge of an essential technology for our digital customers. Partnering with a coworker, he visited all branches’ monthly meetings to conduct DocuSign trainings ensuring everyone felt comfortable with the technology and showed tips and tricks to make for a smoother process.
He consistently helps his immediate team and his coworkers across the association. Even when busy himself, he always manages to find time to help others ensuring we all succeed. Recently, Justin took time to train a new Savings & Retirement Specialist from a different branch who has since gone on to be a knowledgeable resource themselves thanks to Justin’s guidance, support and know-how.
Justin has also been an essential part of the core conversion team. As a representative of retail, he has had a great responsibility to learn, ask questions, give suggestions and take time out of his regular job duties for the project. He was recognized in a recent managers’ meeting for learning the new system so well, he could probably get a job with our technology partners as an expert trainer. His intelligence and curiosity have played an important role in helping the bank prepare or the smoothest transition possible.
“Justin is a great example of what being an OlyFedder is all about,” Josh Deck, President & CEO said.
“He is knowledgeable with an incredible work ethic, which means he can be relied upon in any situation and makes him an invaluable member of our team.”
