DESCRIPTION:Wolf Haven is excited to announce that our annual fundraising event\, Wolves & Wine\, will be taking place on\n\nSaturday\, March 14\, 2026!\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis evening brings together friends\, family\, and wolf supporters from all walks of life to share space\, enjoy wine\, craft beer\, delicious dinner\, and auction items to raise critical funds for Wolf Haven. We hope you will join us in hearing the latest news from our Tenino and McCleery Ranch sanctuaries while helping to make a difference for years to come.\n\n \n\nEvent Details\n\nAre you ready to celebrate this incredible species? Our sanctuary\, education\, and conservation efforts are only possible with your support and we can't wait to share more of Wolf Haven with you. Due to the nature of the event\, attendees must be ages 21 and up.\n\nPlease note: this year's silent auction has been moved online to allow supporters all over the world to participate\, while the live auction items will remain exclusive to those attending the event in person.\n\nDate: Saturday\, March 14\, 2026\n\nTime: 5-9pm Pacific\n\nVenue: Great Wolf Lodge\, 20500 Old Hwy 99 SW\, Grand Mound\, WA 98579\n\nCost: $125 per person\n\nLodging: a discounted room rate is available at Great Wolf Lodge for attendees using code 2603WHCB\n\n \nKeynote Speaker\nDr. Diane K. Boyd has five decades of expertise on behavior\, conservation\, and management of wild wolf populations. She began her career in 1977 with Dr. L. David Mech’s Minnesota wolf research\, and moved to Montana in 1979 to study gray wolf recovery in the Rocky Mountains (from the first natural colonizer to approximately 3\,000 wolves today in the western United States).\n\nDiane's work has focused on wolf ecology\, dispersal\, habitat use\, prey selection\, genetic relationships\, and social dimensions of wolf-human conflicts. She has collaborated on wolf research in British Columbia\, Alberta\, Mexican wolves\, Italy\, and Romania\; and has published more than fifty articles in scientific journals\, book chapters\, and the popular literature. Diane recently retired from field work\, but is continuing her wolf conservation efforts through teaching and writing. Her debut memoir\, A Woman Among Wolves: My Forty Year Journey Through Wolf Recovery was released in September 2024.\n\n\n \n\nOnline Auction\n\nWe know that our community extends far wider than western Washington and not all of you are able to join us in-person for this exciting evening.
