Wishing Bonnie Costa a Happy Retirement
After 34 years of service to OlyFed, Bonnie Costa, VP/Deposit Operations will be retiring from the bank on April 1.
We thank Bonnie for an incredible career dedicated to serving the needs of our customers and community. We wish her all the best in her retirement adventures!

Hired in March of 1985 as the Loan Department Receptionist and Clerk, Bonnie Costa quickly rose through the ranks because of her strong work ethic, commitment to quality service and fast learning curve. In July 1986 she was promoted to Loan Servicing and two years later elevated to Loan Closer.
Bonnie then took two years off for the birth of her son and in June of 1990 she was rehired as the Westside Customer Service Representative. Again, Bonnie was a quick study and was promoted to Lead CSR in 1991 and then Branch Manager in 1992. When the Yelm Highway Branch opened in 1995, Bonnie was its first manager and her success at that location propelled her to the position of Branch Coordinator in 1998, where she took the lead on retail operations.
In April of 2008 Bonnie was promoted to Vice President/Branch Administrator and in 2009 she took a two year leave of absence for health reasons. In April of 2011, she was rehired as VP/Product Development Manager and in 2013 her role changed to VP/Retail Banking Director. Two years later, Bonnie transferred to VP/Deposit Operations and over the past year she has assisted with a number of key IT Systems initiatives.
Bonnie learned her work ethic as a housekeeper, where her mother was her supervisor and was famous for making her clean double the number of rooms of her fellow colleagues. To this day if you want to make Bonnie laugh, all you have to say is “20 rooms, Bonnie!” In retirement, Bonnie is looking forward to her upcoming move to Florida and having more time in the sunshine.

Awards & Milestones
Deeply respected by her teammates and friends, Bonnie has been named Employee of the Quarter two times and has won numerous internal corporate awards for always doing the right thing and for her supportive efforts to help develop her fellow teammates. In October of 2022, Bonnie received the Lori G. Drummond Leadership Award for her extraordinary efforts to help with the bank’s recent core system conversion.
