Holiday Gifts in Your Honor
Our mutual banking model is one that puts the needs of people first to improve the quality of life for those who call the South Sound home. Part of the way we do that is by supporting a network of local nonprofit organizations who advance the health and well-being of our community year-round. This holiday season, we’re honored to contribute generously to the organizations listed below in hopes of making the season brighter for our neighbors in need of a little extra care and support.
Thurston County Food Bank
Thurston County Food Bank turned to OlyFed for financial support to build a website to better serve the community. We were honored to be asked and are funding the entire project. In addition, the Food Bank is our December Two Cent Campaign partner and will be receiving a donation towards providing mission-centered assistance to families.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County
Each year our employees work together to support the Boys & Girls Club Adopt-a-Family program. This year OlyFedders purchased holiday gifts and household goods for two families needing help to make the season bright.
Salvation Army
On the third Friday of December, it’s a tradition at OlyFed to host a Salvation Army bell-ringing event. You’ll find OlyFedders on the corner of Fifth & Capitol providing cookies, hot cocoa and holiday cheer as we collect donations for local food and shelter services.
North Mason Food Bank
A long-time OlyFed partner, we are so pleased to be able to contribute a meaningful donation to North Mason Food Bank to support the nourishment of families in need in the Belfair area. The Food Bank provides the essentials for daily life, by helping to fight hunger for local-area neighbors.
North Mason Giving Tree
Our Belfair team helps lead the North Mason Giving Tree effort each year. This community-wide collaborative project provides holiday gifts to students in the North Mason School District. We are both proud to donate and volunteer with this important project.
BankWork$
Our Two-Cent partner for the month of December is BankWork$ which helps young adults from under-resourced communities build meaningful careers in banking, through a free, eight-week career training, placement assistance, and ongoing coaching. Every time our customers use their debit cards during the month of December we will donate two cents to this life changing organization.
